Summary:
As our helpful and disciplined Custodian, you will support our organization’s mission to elevate those in our community by ensuring the cleanliness of our facilities. Your preference for steady, well-defined, and detailed work will be heavily relied on in this role as you provide consistent custodial services including sweeping, vacuuming, and sanitizing. Proud of your ability to provide high-quality work time and time again, you are viewed by colleagues as responsible and highly trustworthy. We are Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership (OWCAP), and we are searching for a Custodian to ensure the consistent cleanliness of our organization’s facilities to promote a sanitary and organized space for the community members we provide services to.
What you’ll need to be our Custodian:
- Accommodating and analytical, while producing highly precise and accurate work
- Patient, conscientious, relaxed, and cooperative team worker
- Unselfish and approachable with a preference for detailed, skill-based work
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be available to work evening hours
- Must be able to follow verbal/written instructions.
- Must be in a physical condition to allow the completion of above assigned duties.
- Must have a current Utah Driver’s License and proof of insurance (when claiming mileage).
- Status – part time, non-exempt, 20 hours per week

- Starting Pay - $15.00
- Performs custodial services
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, wax and buff floors
- Wash walls and woodwork; dusting
- Clean windows and doors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Empty all waste containers and replace liners
- Supervision and training of volunteers in custodial department when directed
- Be familiar with supplies and sanitation requirements
- Use basic cleaning equipment, knowledge of hand tools, and be able to operate a scrubbing machine
- Requires ability to lift and/or carry heavy loads (45 lbs and over)
