While overseeing all of Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership (OWCAP)’s Community Support programs and staff, you will lean into your rapport-building skills as you develop and maintain community partnerships. As our Community Support Manager, you will ensure the department’s progress towards our mission of elevating those in our community.
What you’ll need to be our Community Support Manager:
- A problem solver who likes innovation with a drive to get things done

- Self-starting, self-motivating, and goal-oriented
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in field related to human and family services, public administration, business administration, economics or any related social sciences field
- Four (4) years working experience in related field
- Two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, direct supervision preferred

What you’ll do as the Community Support Manager:
- Under the guidance of the Executive Director, implements the agency’s Community Action Work plans and other projects within the Community Support department. Coordinates and develops workflows, systems, operating procedures, and program services.
- Build and develop community partnerships; maintain existing relationships with current partners and funding sources.
- Maintain, as well as maximize the usage of funding for multiple OWCAP community support programs.
- Provide supervision and direction to the Community Support teams and staff.
- General oversight of departmental budgets.
- Collect and maintain data. Provide the necessary documentation, data, and budget reports to ensure accurate audits are completed. Conduct ongoing monitoring of data.
- Prepare and participate in program reviews and audits.
- Participate in programs and activities that promote community development. Seek and maintain funding for community development programs that reflect the mission of OWCAP.
- Direct supervision of Community Support staff. Participate in the interview process; recommendation of hiring, dismissals, or promotions; provide training; conduct performance evaluations; develop corrective action plans or disciplinary actions when necessary; and recommend pay increases.
- Ensure that adequate and appropriate supervision is provided for volunteers assigned to Community Support. Encourage Community Support staff to work cooperatively with the HR/Volunteer staff in reporting and resolving issues.
- Provide monthly status reports to the Executive Director.
- Represent OWCAP at community events and statewide meetings as assigned.
