Circles Coach
Summary:
As our Circles Coach, you will always strive to ensure our program participants feel valued and heard. You are naturally quick to connect with others which will be greatly helpful when it comes to building and maintaining productive and engaging relationships with Circles program participants. Each day will be different from the next as you ensure participants have access to resources, so they continue to progress towards their established goals. We are Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership (OWCAP), and we are searching for an outgoing Circles Coach to implement this crucial program that helps families in our community move out of poverty.
What you’ll need to be our Circles Coach:
- A casual, uninhibited, and persuasive extravert with a tendency for informality
- A friendly, understanding, willing, and patient team player
- A flexible, socially poised and motivating team builder
- High School completion
- Two year’s work experience in the human service field with training in family development or case management
- Experience with event planning
- Experience working in community organizing or community development
- Experience working with low-income families and community services preferred.
- Bi-lingual preferred
- Additional education may be substituted for experience (paid or unpaid) or a combination of both is applicable to meet requirements to be hired

- Starting Pay - $20.93
- Work with Community Support Manager and Circles Coordinator to meet Circles requirements, CSBG Goals and ROMA guidelines.
- Facilitate the implementation of Circle Leader training at weekly meetings.
- Recruit participants, allies, volunteers, partners, and donors for Circles.
- Seek out individuals, organizations, and businesses to provide meals, donations, and/or food items to prepare meals at Circles weekly meetings.
- Seek out and develop partnerships with organizations in the community according to a plan developed with the Circles staff.
- Engage the community to support Circles through recruiting, advertising, social media engagement, and other forms of outreach.
- Maintain current knowledge of social services available throughout community.
- Ensure Circles Weekly Meetings are organized and well-planned.
- Provide on-going support to participants and volunteers.
- Provide conflict resolution for participants when needed.
- Collaborate with case managers to assure families’ progress.
