Summary:
As our Circles Youth Facilitator, you will consistently and effectively care for children and youth of Circles participants during weekly Circles program meetings. You will appreciate the clear guidelines and well-established structure and routines in this position. In addition to your previous experience in childcare, you will lean into your natural creativity as you adapt the Circles curriculum to meet the needs of children in the program. We are Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership (OWCAP), and we are searching for a Circles Youth Facilitator to ensure the safety of children in the Circles program while implementing age-appropriate activities.
What you’ll need to be our Circles Youth Facilitator:
- Accurate, sincere, and imaginative with a patient approach to work
- Accommodating and analytical, with a strong adherence to established guidelines
- A creative problem solver, who consistently carries out methodical processes
- Must have attained or be working toward High School diploma, or equivalent
- Must have experience working with children in an educational and/or child care setting. Volunteer service may be included at the discretion of OWCAP
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to work Wednesday evenings, 3:30 – 8:30
- Status – part time, non-exempt

- Facilitate weekly Circles youth program and classes.
- Implement Circles youth curriculum; ensuring age-appropriate activities
- Plan developmentally appropriate weekly activities in coordination with the Lead Youth Facilitator in support of program requirements.
- Use and embrace families culture, ethnicity, background and composition in weekly activities Provide for the care and safety of infants, children and youth during weekly Circles meetings.
- Maintain safety of children at all times, ensuring that no child is left alone.
- Coordinate with and provide guidance and training to youth volunteers.
- Provide training on skills related to healthy parent-child relationships. Use developmentally appropriate behavior guidance.
- Advise Circles Coach and/or supervisor of any concerns that may require parental consultation, and participate in consultations on an as needed basis.
- Assist with hygiene cleanliness, i.e., changing diapers/clothing. Assist in food preparation/ set up and clean up.
- Care for and maintain appearance and cleanliness of space used for activities.
