About Us
Lantern House exists to aid the poor, needy, and homeless by providing them with food, shelter, and critical emergency services. We provide a hand up rather than a hand out. Our goal is to transition residents from shelter to housing, encouraging their sense of independence, self-sufficiency, and self-confidence. We are committed to carrying out this mission while treating those who come to us with compassion, dignity, and respect
HOW YOU CAN HELP
?? Monetary Donations
Support shelter operations, meals, and critical services. Just $24 provides a day of shelter, meals, and essential care for one individual. Accepted forms of donation: Check, Cash, Venmo, or Credit Card.
?? In-Kind Donations
Your donated items help us meet daily needs and bring comfort to those we serve.
We gratefully accept:
• Hygiene items (toothpaste, soap, deodorant, razors, etc.)
• Season-appropriate clothing
• Sweatpants, underwear, and socks (always in high demand!)
• Food and cleaning supplies — each day, Lantern House serves over 417 hot, nutritious meals thanks to generous community food donations.
• Toilet paper — we can never have enough!
• Baskets or items for fundraising auctions
?? Volunteer Your Time
Join our mission by serving meals, assisting with donations,
or helping with community events.
Your time and compassion make a lasting difference.
TOGETHER, WE CAN LIGHT THE PATH HOME FOR THOSE IN NEED
