About Us

Ogden Creative Reuse is an art and craft thrift store, maker space, and small gallery located in Ogden. We collect usable materials, leftovers, or surplus art and craft supplies and either resell them at our thrift store, charging between 20-50% of the item’s full price or use them in our various STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) classes, workshops, parties, and educational kits. We receive donations from individuals as well as manufacturers, industry partners, and businesses. Donations can be in the form of leftover craft supplies such as a person’s craft stash or they could include cabinet or flooring samples from a home renovation company or the end of a roll of vinyl from a sign manufacturer, with one of the measurable goals being to reduce landfill waste. These discarded items are sold at deeply discounted prices at the thrift store, reducing cost barriers to artists and creatives in Ogden and in the wider community.
We see OCR as a third space in our community, a gathering point, a place to hold classes, offer craft sessions and workshops and other educational programs, creating opportunities for friendship and art creation while using our classroom and maker space to create art from the discarded items. This art will then be showcased in our community art gallery, hosting local artists, and displaying the reuse art creations, showing our community the possibilities of reusing items in art.
