The Ogden-Weber Chamber Small Business Council (SBC) exists to help develop prosperous small business owners in Weber County by providing the information, connections and direction they need to start and grow a business. The SBC works with local and regional governments to ensure the regulatory climate is designed to best enable small business growth. The council is the voice of small business to the Chamber?s Legislative Affairs Committee and to local governments who grant business licenses.
The Council achieves its purposes by?
- Providing small and startup businesses with connection to Small Business Advisors within the Chamber. Advisors provide 1-2 hours of free consultation as appropriate. The council evaluates members for inclusion as an Advisor.
- Developing effective relationships with government-assisted business development services so that their clients can turn to Small Business Advisors once they advance beyond the prevue of those government-assisted services.
- Promoting small businesses individually and collectively
- Being an active voice for small business to government
The Small Business Council meets monthly on the fourth Friday of each month at the Chamber offices.
