DESCRIPTION:Join us for the July Small Business Primer where Mike Plowman\, Director of Regional Credit in northern Utah for Zions Bank\, will present on understanding financial statements.\n\n\n\nMike has spent his entire Utah career working with small and large businesses in northern Utah and primarily in the Ogden area. Some people end up in banking by accident but he is no accidental banker\, as a little kid he wanted to grow up to be a banker. This is largely attributed to the character of George Bailey in "It's a Wonderful Life."\n\n\n\nMike attended Weber State University and graduated with his undergraduate degree in Finance 1998. The highlight of his time at Weber was meeting his wife Jana who he has been married to for 29 years. Mike also graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. Mike and Jana have four kids and two grandkids.\n\n\n\nIn his personal time\, he has enjoyed coaching competitive soccer\, working as a Scout leader for 31 years and traveling. He is most passionate about sports\, especially cheering on Weber State University.\n\nMike has served on numerous boards and non-profits over the years. He currently serves as the Treasurer for the Dinosaur Park and as the Past Head Gandy Dancer for the Ogden/Weber Spikers where he was recently named 2024 Chairperson of the Year.
